Residue

Atmospheres

The work investigates time and surface through layered compositions built from scratched and ink-stained glass. Painting and mark-making interventions add texture and depth that enrich the physicality of each piece. Constructed on rippled, tactile canvas, the images move beyond photography toward a space between painting and print, where the surface itself becomes an active part of the visual language.

Drawing inspiration from the unfinished works of J.M.W. Turner, the compositions balance light, atmosphere, and diffusion to create a tension between clarity and dissolution. Illumination arises from within, inviting measured perception and quiet attention.

Compositions crafted from residue, light, and time—where photography dissolves into painting and overlooked fragments become fields for reflection.
